Referrals
Children can be referred for physiotherapy by the GP, health visitor, therapist, a medical consultant, or from the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) at the child’s school.
If you have a concern about your child, please contact one of the people above to discuss whether a referral would be helpful.
What happens when my child is referred?
Once a referral is accepted, you will receive an appointment letter to attend Kimberworth Place for assessment (unless your child attends a special school, in which case, an initial assessment will be carried out there).
Your child’s needs will be assessed and an individual treatment/management programme will be created if needed.
We work closely with parents, carers, schools, and nurseries. Individual programmes are often recommended and training is given to parents, carers, and educations staff in order for theses to be implemented.
